The Israeli company Tiltan Software Engineering Ltd. is a provider of simulation, 3D engine, and geoinformation solutions. Last week it was announced that the company has secured a major contract within the framework of a large Israeli UAS program. The project supports a virtual and constructive simulation environment for a multi-domain unmanned aerial system (UAS). It enables the integration of several operational platforms and mission scenarios into a unified synthetic battlespace for demanding defense applications.
As part of the project, Tiltan will deliver its physics-based 3D engine TOPS-NX, which provides advanced simulation capabilities in the infrared (IR) and visual (VIS) spectrum. The engine runs in a cloud environment, supports the operation of multiple instances simultaneously, and enables sensor rendering at extremely high resolution and with exceptional fidelity. TOPS-NX is capable of simulating dense urban environments with thousands of objects, while maintaining the very high frame rates required for operational real-time scenarios.
TOPS-NX Meets Israeli Performance Requirements
The program includes the provision of developer licenses as well as around a thousand runtime licenses to support both development work and operational deployment. In addition, Tiltan will provide its T-Verse services – including the delivery of physically based, highly detailed 3D models and digital twins. This enables the creation of extremely precise synthetic mission environments in both IR and VIS domains, tailored to complex mission and training requirements.
The company will also provide integration and customization services to ensure the incorporation of its technologies into the overarching simulation framework. In addition, specific sensor calibration services will be offered. “TOPS-NX has successfully met the customer’s most demanding benchmark and performance requirements, thereby demonstrating its ability to deliver the scalability, fidelity, and reliability required for next-generation defense simulation environments,” said Ehud Shafir, CEO of Tiltan Software Engineering Ltd.
Tiltan Software Engineering Ltd. is a subsidiary of T3 Defense, and a solutions provider that specializes in simulation, 3D engines, training with generative AI, geoinformation systems, 3D content, as well as systems and tools for command centers. The company’s geoinformation systems support applications for space, aerospace, as well as manned and unmanned vehicles. In doing so, they address challenges in the areas of registration, localization and navigation, as well as requirements for geospatial mapping systems.
