Order for a New Government Distribution Partner
The Israeli defense technology company Bagira has secured an order valued at around €2.1 million for the delivery of Point-of-Need training systems to Asia. The systems are to be delivered by the end of 2026 and will mark the company’s entry into a new Asian market.
Bagira says it has entered into an agreement with a newly appointed government distribution partner in Asia. The contract totals around €2.1 million and covers the delivery of the company’s own training systems as well as accompanying services. The agreed services include a one-year warranty. Delivery of the systems is to be completed by the end of 2026.
Under the so-called Point-of-Need approach, training solutions are provided where they are needed for training. Bagira develops, according to its own statements, tailor-made training systems and applications.
Common Simulation Architecture
The company’s training systems are already used by hundreds of thousands of soldiers at more than 40 locations worldwide, Bagira states. The various training applications and systems are based on a common infrastructure, the simulation engine B-One.
Bagira describes B-One as the technical foundation for different training solutions. To do this, the company’s specialists first analyze the respective requirements. According to Bagira, these employees come from areas with extensive operational experience. On this basis, the solutions for the respective project are designed, implemented, and delivered.
Technical Support After Delivery
According to the company, the scope of services also includes technical and logistical support after the completion of a project. A network of technicians and maintenance staff is intended to ensure the normal operation of the systems. This includes qualified field service technicians, a help desk, and the storage of spare parts.
Bagira Sees Potential for Further Orders
The company regards the new contract as an important step in its expansion into the Asian market. The agreement is intended to help expand its international presence and strengthen its position in new markets with growth potential. Sagi Mizrachi, Deputy Chairman and Vice President of Business Development at Bagira, described the contract as a strategic milestone for the company’s entry into the Asian market.
The selection of training systems, he notes, shows that Bagira can also provide flexible and technologically adaptable training solutions for large armed forces. This is particularly relevant for armies whose forces must be trained across vast geographic areas. According to Mizrachi, the current order should form the basis for a long-term customer relationship, thereby creating the possibility for further orders.
