British Army: Rheinmetall Digitizes Combat Training

Rheinmetall Electronics UK is, according to a company press release published this Monday, playing a key role as a member of Omnia Training, the consortium that provides the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) under the British Army’s Collective Training Transformation Program (CTTP). Led by Raytheon UK as the principal contractor, Omnia Training brings together a number of leading industry partners to provide the British Army with a transformative capability for collective training. Raytheon is a company of the RTX group.

Omnia Training and its industrial partners are responsible for integrating and delivering modern live, virtual, and constructive simulation systems. As the “Land Collective Training Partner,” Rheinmetall, according to its own statements, supports the design and implementation of core elements of the program and will manage the physical training infrastructure, system configuration, and logistical aspects to support the British Army’s collective training. Rheinmetall’s share of the contract is valued at just under one billion euros.

Several Rheinmetall subsidiaries modernize the British Army

The consortium is set to begin operational execution in the summer of 2026, and the service contract has a duration of 15 years. The substantial project scale and the extensive scope of work enable Rheinmetall to sustainably expand its local sites, workforce, and industrial supply capabilities in the United Kingdom. Over the 15-year contract term, the project will secure and create numerous skilled jobs. This applies to both Rheinmetall Electronics UK’s headquarters on the Isle of Wight and the Southampton site, as well as other important strategic locations such as Bristol and Warminster.

Britain is, according to the company, one of Rheinmetall’s strategic core markets in Europe, where the company is strongly represented through its subsidiaries and joint ventures. In addition to Rheinmetall Electronics UK, Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land plays a key role in the British Army’s platform modernization programs. This strong local presence ensures seamless support to the armed forces and strengthens local value creation.
