Thales hat mit HexaForce ein KI-gestütztes Führungs- und Waffeneinsatzsystem (Command & Control, C2) der nächsten Generation vorgestellt. Es wurde speziell entwickelt, um der drastischen Zunahme von Operationsdaten und der steigenden Dynamik moderner Hochintensitätskriege gerecht zu werden, während gleichzeitig die nationale Souveränität der Mitgliedsstaaten gewahrt bleibt.
AI Deployment Shortens Planning Cycles
The system operates across domains in land, air, sea, cyber, the electromagnetic spectrum, space, and the information space, enabling seamless orchestration of national armed forces as well as coalition partners. By connecting to Thales’ AI accelerator cortAIx, the platform utilizes modern language models (LLMs) and agentive AI. This shortens planning cycles, optimizes the allocation of deployment resources, and gradually increases target processing capacity from 100 to up to 1,000 targets per day.
HexaForce for Leadership Structures with More Than 100,000 Users
HexaForce covers the entire chain of command from strategic level down to tactical units. It is designed for leadership requirements of over 100,000 personnel and remains operational even when communications are severely disrupted or impaired. The architecture is based on open-source standards and natively supports Data-Centric Security (DCS) as well as Federated Mission Networking (FMN). This enables nations to integrate their own technology partners and seamlessly integrate third-party legacy systems without jeopardizing control over their own data.
The development of HexaForce draws on practical experience with the Artemis.IA data platform, which has been in service with the French Ministry of Armed Forces since 2023. The system was developed in close collaboration with the armed forces and was successfully tested for interoperability during NATO Exercise CWIX 2026.
