The manufacturers of unmanned ground vehicles connected through the joint venture “ARX Industries” have, during the state visit of Chancellor Friedrich Merz on October 4, established a strategic partnership for unmanned land warfare. Beyond the already ongoing production of ground vehicles by Rys Pro in Germany and Ukraine, the cooperation is to be expanded to the technical integration and joint development of systems.
In view of an estimated need for 50,000 unmanned ground systems in Ukraine for 2026, ARX Robotics is already supplying the largest Western fleet on the ground with the ground drone “Gereon.” Through industrial partners such as Deutz, the company is able to scale manufacturing rapidly on a large scale. One initial result was the delivery of the UGV Gereon from the Ulm DEUTZ plant to Ukraine a week ago.
